Sorry about all the picture quotes lately. I thought this would be a good one for the morning, though! Plus, I just love how the keyword of this quote is boldly and beautifully written. And for those of you who truly don’t know, to live authentically is to live genuinely. It is to be who you really are and not to live under the concern of others’ expectations of how you should be. That is the highlighted concept of this quote here.
So, my questions for you are:
Have you ever done something out of the concern of someone else’s expectations? What was it?
Have you ever not done something out of fear of someone else’s judgment upon you? What was it?
How did you feel when you did or didn’t do something because of someone else’s expectations or judgments?
After you’ve answered these questions to yourself or written down somewhere, I want you to think about your life as a whole. Think about how many times you’ve found yourself doing things because of other people. The answer is probably too many, right? Imagine a life- your life- where you aren’t worried about societies expectations, you aren’t doing things you don’t want to be doing and you aren’t wasting your time. Take a moment to imagine all the things you should be doing to create a better life for you…
